Bound by Time

Well there’s a voice outside
that sings a sad, lonely song
I never thought that I
would ever sing, sing along

Its tune is familiar
I know its melody
With every passing year
it beats inside of me

These are the words that I couldn’t say

This is our static
moment in time
I found a new life

our memories on fire

embrace with the past

Those were happy days
times of laughs, joy and tears
But now the echoes fade
replaced with this silence here
